David Poole

David brings to Smith Square Partners decades of experience and connections in the wealth management, corporate finance and corporate world more generally. While he has worked with clients in many different sectors and geographies, he is particularly known for his in-depth knowledge of and involvement with consumer, media and sports businesses. 

He has worked with principals, their companies and family offices, providing financial solutions to meet their recurring needs. This includes positioning his clients and their interests on the right side of change and helping them to capitalise on market opportunities.

David began his career at Lazard’s in corporate finance before becoming a fund manager and ran pension, charity and private client funds at NM Rothschild. More recently David was Head of Citi Private Bank, UK and Ireland before taking responsibility for the partnership between the Investment, Commercial and Private Banks for Citi’s Europe, Middle East and African businesses.
