Smith Square acts as financial adviser on the sale of CHM Research Limited to GlobalData Plc

On Friday 26 January 2018, GlobalData Plc (“GlobalData”), the UK-headquartered global business information company, completed the acquisition of CHM Research Limited (“CM Research”). 

CM Research is an independent investment research firm based in London, providing thematic research on the technology, media and telecoms sector to blue-chip asset management clients. Cyrus Mewawalla, who founded CM Research in 2010, is one of the world’s leading technology analysts and will be joining GlobalData as Head of Investment Research.

GlobalData is an AIM-listed producer and provider of premium data, insight and analysis to corporates across multiple geographies, industry markets and business information platforms.

Smith Square acted as sole financial adviser on the sale.
